Over the weekend, I gave a small seminar in south Texas. It's the first time I presented the new presentation after publishing the new book, PREPARE LEAD WIN.
The content I present is dense, so I have to ensure that the flow conveys the story I'm trying to tell.
The problem: government is far too big and invasive in our lives. Those we elect don't seem to be invested in correcting that problem. In fact, they often make it worse. We have to correct that.
A solution is what works. If what we're doing isn't working, we should change it. So let's take an honest look at how we currently go about trying to correct our big government problem.
First, we wait for someone to step forward and challenge someone we want to replace. Usually, no one does. It's why most incumbents win... They are unchallenged.
But if someone does step forward, we typically don't know the person and people treat the person they don't know who's running for a position of power with skepticism. The skills that person gained in their career didn't give them any training in fundraising, so they struggle. They probably don't have a marketing background, so the campaign materials are just the best they know how to do. Given all of this, only a couple of people step forward to help them.
Unsurprisingly, the well-funded incumbent wins easily most of the time.
The effort spent in networking and gaining supporters and volunteers is lost at the end of the campaign. That's why you see the picture I show you here. *POOF*
Then everyone waits for someone to step forward to run in the next cycle and this repeats, starting from scratch each time.
I don't travel to give my seminar to run campaigns. I give the first round of training, the tools needed, to set people up for victory - not just victory once but many times over. My goal is to help everyone navigate the political landscape so well that they will rely on themselves and not me or some consultant.
America is a place where the person not expected to win can win. The Wright Brothers, just a couple of bicycle mechanics, weren't expected to build a flying machine - but they did. The 1980 Olympics American Hockey team were supposed to lose - but didn't. We root for the underdog. Failure never defines an American.
I walk the audience through examples of wins. I show them how to win with less money. Because they can.
But more importantly, win or lose, I show them that at the end of the campaign, the effort should continue and build so that the next candidate running doesn't start from scratch.
We can win. We just need to do the right things right.
My new presentation needs some tinkering, but it was well received. I'm ready to take the show on the road... perhaps to your neck of the woods.

We must keep working to insure even more grassroots conservative primary victories, in the next election cycle. This is essential!! Looking forward to hearing your presentation in Leon County on September 24!
It’s difficult for the GOP to govern on a national level mostly ( at Texas state level for some additional reasons) because at top of party donors writing the checks are not doing it for same reasons that voters in base are showing up at ballot box for. (i.e. immigration, health care, taxpayer funded lobbying, etc.) The establishment politicians are not committed to ideology or principles rather they are committed to institutions that provided them status quo w benefits, relationships & monetized privilege & entitlements. On a practical meta level there no real answer to this. The closest thing conservatives have seen to answering this on state level would be Ron DeSantis in Florida- because he was excellent at vocation of governing he was able to get many in donor class who otherwise would not have accepted many of base reform in state institutions to accept it because he was effective at “making trains run on time.” He was effectively a “Red Caesar”. Of course those of us who ❤️Texas know government belongs to those who show up. As Bill Federier says “As more power becomes concentrated in fewer hands globally- more people must counter act locally.” We should work at local levels to change what we can.
