I've redesigned Opinion Paper, and I'll soon set about writing here again. I've missed it.

I mentioned on FB that it's because I moved it all over to a new server last fall, and I'm just now getting around to revising OP... Opinion Paper is a test bed for me. It hurts no one if it fails. It does all of the things that I need my other websites to do, so it's safe for me to test it all here.

One of those things is emailing. Long ago, I wrote a software application called Newsletter Ease - an email newsletter manager that would allow you to design a template, manage your content per issue, and then send out each issue. I had 2,000 customers worldwide... the Philippines and New Zealand... eastern Europe. It was cool. But then Constant Contact came along and that did it all in. Software? No. Online... that's where the action was.

When I wrote grassrootspriorities.com, I incorporated email capability within it to enable our conservative Texans to message their legislators. 250K emails in the last session. But it would burst the emails all at once, and every time it happened, my server reputation got dinged. As a result, my emails to people often go to spam or junk folders. It's what it is. I take one for the team because it's what I can do.

So this is my first test of throttled (controlled) sending emails at a more measured pace. I've set it so that only Nicole and I will get the email notification for this post. All of this will get blended into upgrading GP as we head toward the next session.

I like writing. I can't help but write. I'll be writing here at Opinion Paper again.

Grin.
